The Philippines' Pedro Taduran, the defending IBF minimumweight champion, weighed in half a pound under the weight limit 47.4kg (104.5lbs) while Japanese challenger Ginjiro Sigeoka came in slightly heavier at 47.6kg (104.9lbs).

The stage is now perfectly set for their 12-round showdown, a rematch of their July 28, 2024, encounter where Taduran famously stopped Shigeoka in the 9th round to claim the title. In the co-main event IBF featherweight championship bout, reigning champion Angelo Leo (25-1, 12 KOs) tipped the scales at a lean 57kg (125.7lbs).
