Undefeated flyweight protégé Dave Apolinario (16-0) will get his crack at a world title as he clashes with three division world champion Gideon Buthelezi (23-5). The fight will be held on July 29 at East London, South Africa. This will be the biggest fight so far for Dave Apolinario.
Apolinario is confident weeks before the fight. “I have trained so hard for this. I have watched my opponent’s fights and I am confident that I can bring a world title back to the Philippines. I will go for a KO win and bring home the belt. The is a slim chance to win fights via decision when you fight in enemy turf so I have no choice but to win inside the rounds” Apolinario confidently stated.
