CEBU--IBF minimumweight champion Florante "The Little Pacquiao" Condes is set to arrive in Cebu on Monday to start his rigid war preparations at the world-class ALA Gym here.
Condes, according to the well-respected Filipino promoter Sammy Gello-ani, finally decided to fly to Cebu on Monday, and may also possibly join superstar Manny Pacquiao and WBO champ Gerry Penalosa at special ringside for the "Kadaugan sa Mactan" card on Monday headlined by the dynamite-fisted Randy Suico.
ALA Gym owner and Cebu's revered sportsman Antonio L. Aldeguer had earlier stated that Condes, just like Donaire and even those unknown boxers who knock on the ALA doors, is most welcome to train and use the world-class facilities of the sprawling gym.
The ALA Gym was also the training venue for world flyweight king Nonito Donaire Jr while the latter was training for the Luis Maldonado fight where he easily defeated the Mexican via stoppage.
Other prominent names who have set foot at the ALA Gym for training include the Pacquiao brothers Manny and Bobby, Korean ex-world champ In jin Chi, Penalosa, Malcolm Tunacao, Joma Gamboa and Japanese world champ Daisuke Naito.
