Undefeated Sanman protege in Jade Bornea will see action in Sanman’s Bubble Series facing Roland Jay Biendima in a super flyweight showdown on April 30 at the Sanman Gym. Bragging a record of W15-L0, Bornea is one of the treasured gems of the Gensan based boxing stable headed by JC Manangquil.
Bornea started his boxing journey with a colorful amateur career winning an Asian youth gold medal and a bronze in the prestigious AIBA Youth World Championship. In his amateur runs, he has beaten current IBF and WBA Superbantamweight Champion Murodjon Akhmadaliev who was also an Olympic silver medalist.
Jade has also started his professional boxing journey with a bang having bagged the WBO Oriental Youth and IBF Youth Superflyweight titles and the NABF title which he won the USA. Bornea has continually climbed the ranks and has kept his focus in becoming a legit world champion. He acknowledges the brilliant management of Sanman in handling his career. “ I have always been well guided and disciplined by my team. I do my part by working hard in the gym. As my coaches keep on telling me, fights are won in training camps. I am always itchy to fight. This pandemic fight is a big break for me”, Bornea stated.
