The WBC silver cruiserweight champion Thabiso "The Rock" Mchunu (22-5-0, 13 KOs) will face undefeated Evgeny Tishchenko (8-0, 6 KOs) on Saturday at the RCC Boxing Academy in Ekaterinburg, Russia. The fight will also be an eliminator for the right to challenge WBC champion Ilunga Makabu. Tishchenko was Russia's 2016 Olympic heavyweight gold medalist and at 6'5 he will be six inches taller over Mchunu.
Thabiso Mchunu is an experienced South African cruiserweight boxer and his last fight was on December 21, 2019 in a unanimous decision win over former world champion Denis Lebedev.
