Unbeaten Filipino fighters Glenn Gonzales and Jundy Maraon will not get their much-cherished dream of fighting in the undercard of the Oct. 6 Manny Pacquiao-Marco Antonio Barrera rematch, but will still be flying to the US for a November 29 appearance underneath Bobby Pacquiao's next outing.
This was revealed the other day by North Cotabato Vice-Governor Emmanuel Pinol, who also indicated that the fighters have continued training even if they had been initially denied US visas due to lack of supporting documents in their application.
Maraon, a bantamweight, and Gonzales, a featherweight, are considered two of the most promising fighters in Mindanao, and are expected to win world titles given the right training and management.
