Czar Amonsot, the soft spoken southpaw who put up a gallant show but just fell short of winning the WBO lightweight title against hard-hitting Michael Katsidis whose face was a grotesque mass when the fight ended is set to undergo another test according to respected boxing patron Tony Aldeguer.
Aldeguer said doctors had monitored Amonsot’s condition for 24 hours after an initial CT Scan showed what appeared to be a tiny blood clot. However, according to young Michael Aldeguer who has remained by Amonsot’s beside for hours at a Las Vegas Hospital reported that “based on the second test everything is stable.”
The son of Tony Aldeguer said that when they visited Amonsot today he was “very fine and normal.”
Meanwhile, the priests at the Saint Paul Parish in Quezon City who are boxing fans Sunday night prayed for the quick recovery and good health of Amonsot.
