ALA Boys Rollen Del Castillo and Milan Milendo scored contrasting wins last Tuesday in the 'Kumo sa Kumo: Rambolan sa Bantayan' boxing card at Bantayan Island's Multi-purpose Center.
The event was held in celebration of the Bantayan Island annual fiesta and presented by the Bantayan Executive Committee, Pepsi and SGG Sports Promotions.
Del Castillo prevailed on a lackluster majority decision over tough-as-nails Edmund Velayo, earning a 97-93 and 98-96 verdict from two judges while the third judge had it a draw at 96-96.
In an impressive showing, Milan Milendo kept his unbeaten record with a fourth-round technical knockout win over Arnel Tadena after the latter refused to continue at the 1:03 mark of the round.
The win improved Milendo's record to 12 wins, with 3 KO's.
Weng Haya also kept his unbeaten mark with a technical knockout victory over Reggie Binueza at 1:09 of the fourth round. Haya unleashed several head and body combination on Binueza to earn the win.

In the night's biggest upset, visiting Roldan Malinao stopped the previously unbeaten Frank Albia with a big right uppercut to the jaw at 2:45 of the opening round. Albia managed to pick himself up after a knockdown, but Malinao swarmed all over him prompting referee Sev Necesario to stop the contest.
