ABCEDE WINS WBO ORIENTAL MINIMUMWEIGHT TITLE VIA 11TH ROUND TKO

The Philippines No. 2 ranked light flyweight Jaysever Abcede has won the vacant WBO Oriental minimum weight title with a stunning 11th round TKO over favored Thai veteran and world No. 1 rated Pigmy Kokiet Gym in Bangkok, Thailand.

With the win Abcede improved his record to 10-3 with 6 knockouts while Pigmy dropped to 57-8-2 with 23 knockouts.

The 20 year old Filipino registered his fifth stoppage in a row with his last win being a 3rd round TKO of Charles Canedo on July 19.

Pigmy won five fights in a row after losing to South Africa?s Hekkie Budler by an 8th round knockout in Budler?s IBO title defense on June 21, 2014.

Pigmy Kokietgym was coming off a 2nd round knockout of Rofig Aditya of Indonesia in a scheduled six round bout last June 12.
