CEBU CITY ? Joey Canoy of Mandaue City will have a chance to avenge his lone career loss when he fights Jerry Tomogdan of Bukidnon at the Punta Princesa Atillo Gym here in Cebu. Canoy, who fights as Canoy J.
Singwangcha (9W-1L-1D, 3 KO?s), lost to Tomogdan(17W-6L-3D,9KO?s) by majority decision last January in Cagayan de Oro.
Tomogdan would go on to get a world title shot and lose to WBC strawweight champ Wanheng Menayothin of Thailand by ninth round KO last June. The 22 year old Canoy on the other hand, beat Jonathan Ricablanca by unanimous decision in Bacolod City, also in June.
Their rematch will serve as the main event for the Asian Boxing Federation (ABF) miniflyweight title in the card billed as ?BINUKBUKAY SA PUNTA PRINCESA?.
Also penned to see action are undefeated prospect Ardie Boyose Singwangcha (15-0-2,11KO?s) who will go up against Phil Angcamor (13-23-3,7KO?s) in a ten rounder, Joaquino E. Singwangcha vs Charlie Cabilla ? 8 rounds, Dignos M Singwangcha vs Ponciano Rimandiman ? 8 rounds, Junriel Jimenes vs Roga Libres ? 6 rounds.
