WBC Youth superbantam champion Bernabe Concepcion is set to fly to the United States later this month to start training for a July bout, possibly for the vacant USBA title.
According to Concepcion's manager Aljoe Jaro, there had been offers for his ward to see action on the big June 9 card underneath the Miguel Cotto-Zab Judah show, but apparently the fighter's injured hand has not yet fully healed, thus taking the July playdate instead.
Jaro, who wants to call his ward 'The Real Deal' said that Concepcion will face anyone put in front of him.
