The Golden Boy Oscar De la Hoya, in the thick of training for his May 5 super-bout with the other-worldly Floyd Mayweather Jr, has informed ABS-CBN that he seems to have found the 'fountain of youth' under trainer Freddie Roach.

ABS-CBN owns the exclusive rights to air the Cinco De Mayo event in the Philippines, where two undefeated Filipino fighters--Rey 'Boom Boom' Bautista and Alex John 'Bazooka' Banal--are also seeing action in the undercard.

"I feel great. I feel like twenty years old. I feel wonderful. How I wish I had this kind of training way back in my career. I would have remained undefeated," De la Hoya told ABS' Dyan's Castillejo.

For the Mayweather bout, De la Hoya has especially commissioned both Bautista and Banal, as 'running partners' indicating that running with the young boys make him more dedicated and challenged.

The May 5 event, dubbed 'The World Awaits,' has already broken all gate records in Las Vegas, and aims to become the highest-grossing pay-per-view event in the history of the sport.

Tickets to the said event were sold out in just three hours after being made available to the public, and thousands of media applications have been received for the chance to cover the event.
