Moreno 118, Chac?n 117, for WBA Bantamweight World Title in Panama

PhilBoxing.com

PANAMA CITY, Panama - WBA Bantamweight World Champion Anselmo "Chemito" Moreno (R) of Panama weighed in at 118 lbs while Argentinian challenger Javier "Chispita" Chac?n made 117 lbs., ahead of their world title clash tomorrow (March 22) at the Roberto Duran Arena here in Panama City, Panama.

During the medical check up, Moreno registered a blood pressure of 110/60 with pulse of 60 BPM while the Chac?n had it 120/80 and pulse of 62 BPM. Both warriors looked in perfect physical conditions for their 12-rounder rumble.

The fight will mark Moreno's 12th defense of the world crown the conquered in D?sseldorf in May of 2008. Should the 28-year-old Panamanian southpaw prevails, his interest for the near future is challenging Mexican super bantamweight star Leo "Terremoto" Santa Cruz.

But the challenger Javier Chac?n (19-1, 4 KO's) from Mendoza, Argentina has plans of his own:

"I came to Panama to win. I have carefully studied the style of Moreno (34-2-1, 12 KO's) and I know that he is good, but I have my own fighting skills and a game plan. I will put pressure on Moreno. I want to be world champion," said Javier Chac?n whose brother/trainer, Julio Pablo Chac?n, captured the Featherweight World Title Budapest, Hungary, in 2001.

The referee will be Russell Mora of Las Vegas, Nevada; and the neutral judges: Uriel Aguilera of Colombia, Alfredo Polanco of Mexico and Hernando Steidel of Puerto Rico.

Ticket prices: U.S. Dollars $ 250 (Super VIP Ringside), $ 150 (Ringside), $ 75 (Preferential), $ 12 (General Admission).

The Moreno VS Chac?n WBA fight in Panama is a production of promoter Rogelio Espi?o of Promociones y Eventos del Istmo, airdc LIVE on TV Max Channel 9 in Panama and TyC Sports Channel in Argentina.
