NBA - Bulls offense vanish versus Magic

CHICAGO -- Glen Davis sank two pressure-packed free throws with 1.7 seconds left in regulation to help the Orlando Magic hold off the Chicago Bulls and preserve a narrow 83-82 road victory at the United Center.
Aaron Afflalo led the Magic (8-17) with 23 points on 8-for-16 shooting while Jameer Nelson guided the offense with 14 and eight assists. Center Nikola Vucevic notched 10 markers and 11 boards while rookie sensation Victor Oladipo settled with eight points. Davis finished 14.
Luol Deng had 26 for the Bulls, but he missed an open layup that could have tied the game and forge overtime with 2.9 ticks left.
"Just a bad, bad miss, my fault. I had the angle. Great pass by Jo (Noah). I missed the shot," an obviously disappointed Deng told reporters after the closely-fought match.
Newly-acquired point guard D.J. Augustin finished with 14 points and eight assists for Chicago and Mike Dunleavy Jr chipped in 14. But the Bulls (9-14) made only 28 of 81 field goals and fell to 9-14 for the season. (JZ)
