Philippine Ring Officials Hold year-end meeting

Members of The Association of Philippine Professional Boxing Ring Officials (APPBRO) ? Luzon Chapter, Inc. (APPBRO) held their year-end meeting last Sunday, December 8, in Mandaluyong City.
In the said meeting, the goals and objectives of the organization were once again revisited and the members were urged to share their contributions in terms of effort, time, and energy, toward the achievement of such goals and objectives. The members were also reminded of the professional qualities of an APPRO ring official that of exercising integrity, fairness, and competence, in whatever bout they officiate, be it in the capacity of a referee or a judge. This will lead to the realization of the organization?s mission of APPBRO being the source of word class ring officials possessing the most professional qualities.
Moreover, to get the organization moving on a fast track, the members set their next meeting on January 19 where election of a new set of officers will be held.
When the organization meeting was completed, a simple Christmas party was held for the camaraderie of the ring officials where boxing ring announcer Boy Villanera and referee Sammy Bernabe did much of the entertaining. Spicing up the celebration were APPBRO president Silvestre Abainza and venue host Engr. Greg Ortega who had their videoke numbers.
