MAIN EVENT FOLLOWS FEDERER-GONZALES SINGLES FINAL

An explosive and highly anticipated Men’s singles final in the Australian Open Tennis Championships between World No.1 Roger Federer and Chilean sensation Fernando Gonzalez beginning at 1:00 p.m. will precede the top-rated weekly boxing show “The Main Event” over RPN Channel 9 tomnorrow (Sunday).
Viva Sports acceded to a request by Solar Sports to delay “The Main Event” in order to accommodate the eagerly-awaited clash between Federer and Gonzalez.
“The Main Event” also features an exciting battle between undefeated youngster Raymond Sermona and gutsy Michael Romulo before a huge crowd at the popular Mandaluyong City Gym.
The fights are sponsored by Tanduay, the No.1 Rhum and are also replayed the following Sunday at 10:00 p.m. over the cable channel Viva Prime which also carries “live” coverage of horseracing and telecasts cockfighting, nationwide.
