Philippine superflyweight champion Marco Demecillo (18-1-1, 14 KO?s) of the RWS Gym and undefeated challenger Giovanni Escaner (10-0, 6 KO?s) of Paranaque City made weight for the main event of the first edition of ?Astig Pinoy ? set this Saturday August 17 in Dipolog City.
The 22 year old Demecillo a.k.a. Marco Singwangcha weighed in at the division limit of 115 lbs while Escaner was at 114 lbs. RWS gym matchmaker Willy Flores relayed the result to philboxing. Marco won the title last year with a third round TKO over Marvin Mabait in Mactan and defended it last September against Marjun Tabamo by 4th round TKO. The 23 year old Escaner has stopped four of his last five opponents.
This will be Marco?s first bout since his first career loss by unanimous decision to OPBF superflyweight champion ?King? Arthur Villanueva in Davao City last April.
