WBO DRUG FREE PROGRAM SPONSORS NATIONAL YOUTH MUAYTHAI EVENT IN THAILAND By Pithak Canthajun PhilBoxing.com Thu, 18 Apr 2013 Bangkok Thailand ? In another eventful WBO Drug Free Program reaching out to children around the world, WBO Asia Pacific Vice President Leon Panoncillo, Jr. who is based at Thailand has coordinated with Mr. Sawaeng Thaweekoon and Mr. Manoonchai Thabjareon the director of Chiangyuenpittayakom school together with Somchay Sripiew the Chairman referee representative of the MuayThai Association of Thailand to create other ways of keeping children out of the reach of drugs and streets and instead providing the Youths activities such as country International Sports of MuayThai of Thailand 29th National Youth Games ?Mahasarakham games 2013?. School Provinces from Udon Thani, Hongkrai, Sakonnakorn, Royet, Loei, Mukdahan, Mahasarakam, Buenggran, Nakornpankom, KhonKaen, Kalasin and Bangkok Schools ages from (15- 18 years old) 150 male and 95 female coming from 77 province of Thailand along with their parents and his / her coach. There where about 200 person attended this special event paraded into the gymnasium at Mahasarakam province to participate in the well organized Youth Muaythai competition for a chance to earn Educational Scholarship sponsored by the World Boxing Organization headed and organized by Honorable President of the WBO Francisco ?Paco? Valcarcel. Thailand Boxing Organization (TBO) Chairman Mr. Sawaeng Thaweekoon informed that hundred of Youth will get the opportunity to compete in our cultural MuayThai sports to show their courage and to show support for youth around our troubled sector of provinces at Thailand to stay away from Drugs. With the continues support of the WBO reaching out to children in our Kingdom of Thailand have been a tremendous help to our Thailand children especially keeping them off the street and providing them education that will help them with their careers. Children who participated, benefited by receiving monies, school supplies and goody bags, education materials, drug free t-shirts, first, second and third prize trophy?s and lot of meals through their two weeks of competition.
