NBA -- Spurs' Ginobili out at least three weeks
By Doreen Mendez PhilBoxing.com Tue, 02 Apr 2013

SAN JOSE -- Manu Ginobili, a valuable San Antonio Spurs asset will miss at least three weeks due a strained hamstring, the Associated Press reported late Monday afternoon.
The 35-year old veteran did not see action in the Spur's nail-biting 88-86 defeat at the hands of the Miami Heat Sunday night at the AT@T Center. Ginobili has appeared in 59 games this season and is averaging 11.9 points, 3.4 rebounds and 4.6 assists a contest.
With a 55-18 won-lost record, the Spurs are trying to hold off the 54-20 Oklahoma City Thunder for the best record in the Western Conference, a task now made difficult by the extended absence of Ginobili, a two-time All-Star and 10-year NBA pro.
At 58-15 with only nine games remaining in the regular season, the Miami Heat is a shoo-in to clinch homecourt advantage all throughout the playoffs, including the NBA Finals. (DM)
