CARRASCO READY TO RUMBLE IN BRISBANE
PhilBoxing.com Thu, 06 Dec 2012
Jezze “El Rey” Carrasco is ready to jump in to the ring for his fourth professional bout in Brisbane this Saturday night. Carrasco will square off against former Queensland champion and currently Queensland’s number one rated junior welterweight, Ty Gilchrist.
In what will be a battle of the undefeated fighters, both boxers will be hungry to keep this record intact.
“I’m very excited about this fight with Gilchrist as it gives me the opportunity to be number one in the state,” said Jezze Carrasco.
“I have trained very hard for this fight and I expect a big challenge from him with his experience as an amateur and a pro. Mentally and physically I’m ready for war.”
However, in a turn of events last week, Carrasco has decided to train under Brandon Wood but will remain to be managed by Brendon Smith under Smithy’s Gym.
This fight will take place on Saturday night at the Fortitude Valley Boxing Stadium in Brisbane.
For more information or photo opportunities please call Brendon Smith on 0418800878.
