LOS ANGELES (June 1, 2011) ? Son of the Living Legend and the No. 1-rated middleweight contender, JULIO C?SAR CH?VEZ, JR. (42-0-1, 30 KOs), of Culiacan, M?xico, and undefeated World Boxing Council (WBC) middleweight champion SEBASTIAN ZBIK (30-0, 10 KOs), of Schwerin, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Germany, will host the Final News Conference for "The Son Also Rises: Zbik vs. Ch?vez, Jr. World Middleweight Championship," TODAY! Wednesday, June 1, in the Golden State Ballroom at the Wilshire Grand Los Angeles (930 Wilshire Blvd., Los Angeles, Calif. 90017.) Luncheon will be served at Noon PT with the news conference beginning at 12:30 p.m. PT.

Joining Ch?vez, Jr., who will be fighting in his first world title fight on Saturday, and Zbik will be their respective trainers, World-Famous FREDDIE ROACH and former WBO lightweight champion "King" ARTUR GRIGORIAN, as well as Hall of Fame promoter BOB ARUM and JULIO C?SAR CH?VEZ SR., who will be inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame next week. Ch?vez Sr. won his first world title just a few blocks south of STAPLES Center, at the Olympic Auditorium, knocking out Mario Martinez, on September 13, 1984, to capture the vacant WBC super featherweight championship.

The news conference will also feature undefeated No. 1 lightweight contender MIKEY GARCIA (25-0, 21 KOs) of Oxnard, Calif. and his opponent MIGUEL BELTRAN, JR. (24-1, 17 KOs), of Los Mochis, Sinaloa, M?xico, (the Garcia vs, Beltran 10-round featherweight bout will open the HBO broadcast); undefeated No. 1 super welterweight contender and former U.S. Olympian VANES MARTIROSYAN (29-0, 18 KOs), of Glendale, Calif., and his opponent SAUL ROMAN (34-8, 29 KOs), of Culiacan, M?xico, (Martirosyan and Roman will battle in a 12-round WBC super welterweight title elimination bout on the non-televised undercard); and WBC female super welterweight champion CHRISTY MARTIN (49-5-3, 32 KOs), of Orlando, Fla., going for her landmark 50th career victory in a personal and professional comeback, and her opponent DAKOTA STONE (9-8-4, 1 KO), of Auburn, Wash., (Martin and Stone rumble in a rematch of their closely- contested 2009 fight on the non-televised undercard.) Martin's attorney GLORIA ALLRED will be joining her at the news conference.

Promoted by Top Rank, in association with Zanfer Promotions, Universum Media Network, TECATE and STAPLES Center, the Ch?vez, Jr. vs. Zbik world middleweight championship will take place Saturday, June 4, at STAPLES Center, and marks the first fight Ch?vez Jr. has fought in Los Angeles in six years. It will be televised live on HBO Boxing After Dark?, beginning at 10 p.m. ET/PT (delayed on the West Coast.)

The world championship event will be highlighted by a celebration of the boxing career of Julio C?sar Ch?vez Sr.
