Los Angeles Mexican American singing and song-writing sensation Jenni Rivera, who with over 20 million albums sold worldwide is one of the most beloved and best-selling artists in the Regional Mexican genre, will sing the Mexican National Anthem prior to the main event of the "200: CELEBRATE AND DOMINATE" Mosley vs. Mora, aboxing extravaganza on Saturday, September 18 at STAPLES Center and live televised live on HBO Pay-Per-View ?. "Jenni Rivera is a huge talent and very well known among Mexicans and those of Mexican descent throughout the world," said Oscar de la Hoya, President of Golden Boy Promotions. "I couldn't think of a better person to represent the Mexican people by singing the Mexican National Anthem on this special weekend. The stellar fight card, featuring Five-Time and Three-Division World Champion Sugar Shane Mosley against former World Champion Sergio "The Latin Snake" Mora in a junior middleweight showdown, rising Mexican phenom Saul "Canelo" Alvarez who squares off against former World Champion Carlos "Tata" Baldomir, and top junior welterweight contender "Vicious" Victor Ortiz who will face former World Champion "Vicious" Vivian Harris, is all part of the Mexican Bicentennial celebration in Los Angeles and promises to deliver a night of action on this decorated and storied boxing weekend tradition. Rivera is a Mexican American singer/songwriter who was raised in Long Beach, CA. She is one of the most beloved and best-selling artists in the Regional Mexican genre having sold over 20 million albums sold worldwide. Rivera was nominated for a Latin Grammy in 2003 and in 2008 she was named "Female Artist of the Year" and "Banda Artist of the Year" at the 21stUnivision "Premio Lo Nuestro a La Musica Awards."
