Mora on Mosley, Pacquiao and Vacationista!

PhilBoxing.com

Charleston, SC — Naazim Richardson was quoted in the press conference, “There's no way you can underestimate Sergio Mora, but we have to put a game plan together to deal with this young man and we will bring that one on the training and on fight night.”

I called Sergio and asked his side on this one, and he told me that Mosley and Richardson know him better. And there's no way they can use that 'underestimate' word "because I’m the bigger guy."

"Beating Mosley, I need to bring all my tricks. I will box and brawl with him," the Latin Snake said.

"What happened to Mosley’s fight against Margarito was ... Margarito just went straight at him and that’s it. He don’t know how to box. Me, I know how to fight backward and forward. So this is the big difference and I will win this fight!," Sergio added.

So I asked Mora, the champion of the first reality boxing “The Contender” on ESPN, if he considers this fight as his toughest knowing Mora decisioned the late Vernon Forrest whom Mosley lost twice. Mora said, "Yes! This is the toughest fight thus far! Mosley is top 10 pound for pound and this will bring me to the next level."

How about Mosley’s loss to Mayweather? Mora said "in order to beat Mosley you have to tear him apart. Just like Mayweather did. Mayweather let Mosley won first two rounds then he figured it out how to tear Mosley down. So I’ll have to pick up some good pointers from that fight."

On Mayweather’s vacation

I threw some never ending questions about Mayweather’s vacation, Sergio the former Junior Middleweight of the world said, "Mayweather is simply afraid to lose. Is Mayweather capable of beating Manny, does he have the tools? No! Mayweather can’t beat Manny. That’s why he doesn’t want that fight!"

I asked him, how about you Sergio? Can you beat Manny? He said, "Nobody can beat Manny! but maybe at 154 lbs, maybe I can beat him at 154lbs!"

Coming September 18, Mosley and Mora (M&M) will square off at the Staples Center on a televised pay per view. There's not much luster on this fight cause Mosley just lost to Mayweather and Mora’s inactivity/no significant fight lately. But as a boxing fan, the intrigue on this fight is how can Mosley bounce back from the loss and can Mora step up to the next level? If Mosley wins this one, a Berto, Bradley, Alexander fight would be very interesting. And if Mora wins, his name will be mentioned together with vacation specialist and in the Philippine congress.

Oh!Beertime!!!

Is this the most anticipated NBA season? I know it's gonna be up there with Jordan’s come back as 45 and few other interesting NBA off season moves… with two O’Neals in Celtics, Miami is not going anywhere but win 60 games and that’s it! No NBA showdown with Jordan heir (24)... plus a Dwight Howard will pound thin Bosh, pound the slow motion Ilgauskas and the half the price Magloire together at the same time, Wade and LeBron will just look from top of the key!... Miami not going to NBA Finals is the next drama for next year, imagine LeBron looking for new taker, new teammates, maybe go to Lakers and wear #22, yohoo!!! From King James to Drama King James, from best friends to best enemies (talking about Wade and James)!!!... If he didn’t stab the heart of Cleveland people, that poor guy who wore his new Miami jersey in Cleveland Brown game could’ve enjoyed the baseball game… Montiel vs. Donaire, how Montiel dismantled Rafael Concepcion? I’ll put my money on Montiel that’s for sure… so I went home to Duljo (few weeks ago) and of course I wanted to exercise my old hobby, become a Kutsero, guess who’s riding with me? Bazooka Banal! I’m telling you its nice to have a pasahero like that!!! Kumbatea!!!
