Magboo defends his WBO ORIENTAL Crown against Ramie Laput

Reigning World Boxing Organization (WBO) Oriental Superbantamweight Champion Ni?o Magboo (12W-1L-1D, 5KOs)of the Touchgloves Boxing Gym will stake his crown against Ramie Laput (38W-4L-0D-17KOs), who is under the tutelage of Kenny Smith of the American Boxing Academy.
The championship fight is scheduled on August 27, 2010, Friday at the Mandaluyong City Gymnasium.
Both fighters are expected to come to this fight fully prepared and physically conditioned to improve their respective world rankings. In the latest rankings of the WBO, Magboo is highly ranked at no. 8 in the Superbantamweight class.
Magboo?s boxing career is being guided by promoter Elmer Anuran, who produces the weekly boxing show SAVED BY THE BELL. This show is shown every Sundays at 3pm in Solar TV and every Mondays at 7pm in Solar Sports. On the other hand, Ramie Laput?s promoter is Sammy Gello-ani of SGG Boxing Promotions.
Ramie Laput is the former Superflyweight Champion of the Philippines as well as the former interim WBO Asia-Pacific and WBO Inter-Continental Superbantamweight Champion.
Ni?o Magboo won the WBO Oriental title via a Unanimous Decision win over Ray Las Pi?as last April 17, 2010 at the Ynares Sports Arena, Pasig City.
