Pumar faces Veronque tonight

Undefeated Gabriel "Bonbon" Pumar of the Wakee Salud Stable risks his reputation today against rugged Noel Veronque as they duke it out in the 10-round main event of a card set in Sinsin, Cebu.
Pumar (6-0-1, 5 KO's) will be seeing action in his first 10-round fight, while the 29-fight veteran Veronque hopes to put himself in the winning column since his temporary retirement in late 2001.
In the chief support, Bogie Delada takes on Eddie Villegas over eight, while Apol Suico battles Roel Honor in another 8-rounder.
Gerope Mercado, meanwhile, takes on Jackie Pagara over six, as Peter Paul Suico goes up against Gedion Amba also for six.
The curtain-raiser pits Nelson Sungahid versus Jomar Labiogo in a 4-rounder.
