Macas-Villanueva Fight Now on Youtube.com

The 5th and final round of the controversial fight between previously unbeaten featherweight lorenzo "thunderbolt" villanueva of the Braveheart bBoxing Club of North Cotabato and Eric Macas of Black Scorpion Boxing Gym of Lanao del Norte has been posted on YouTube.com.
This was done in response to the deluge of requests from boxing fans who wanted to know how the umdefeated villanueva, 22, (14 wins, 14 KOs) lost by technical decision to Macas.
The fight was stopped with about 15 seconds left in the 5th after referee Delbert Pelegrino saw a cut below the right eye of Macas. He ruled that it was caused by a headbutt and declared Macas winner by technical decision.
A review of the videorecording of the fight however showed that the cut was a result of three powerful punches connected by Villanueva.
North Cotabato vice gov. Manny Pinol, Villanueva's manager filed a formal complaint with GAB Manila and asked for the reversal of the decision "I'm for the interest of justice and fair play".
Gab commissioner Angel Bautista, GAB OIC, promised to review the fight next week.
