Empowering Women and Girls Through Softball By Marlon Bernardino PhilBoxing.com Thu, 06 Mar 2025 In celebration of International Women's Day, the Amateur Softball Association of the Philippines (ASA-PHIL) is excited to announce the upcoming International Women's Day Softball Clinic on March 8, 2025, at the Imus Truck Oval, Imus City, Cavite. This free clinic is designed to engage women and girls of all ages and skill levels who are eager to explore the sport of softball, with the goal of fostering empowerment, gender equality, and physical wellness. The clinic is open to all participants, from beginners to advanced players, and will feature expert instruction, hands-on drills, and friendly competition. ASA-PHIL aims to use this event as a platform to inspire more women to get involved in sports and highlight the incredible potential women have in excelling in athletic fields traditionally dominated by men. Jean Henri Lhuillier, President of ASA-PHIL, emphasized the importance of empowering women through sports: "Softball is more than just a game—it is a tool for empowerment. This clinic is not only about improving skills but also about building confidence, fostering teamwork, and promoting gender equality in sports. The women and girls who participate will not only gain valuable skills but will also become part of a larger movement that champions inclusivity and wellness for all."
