Melvin Jerusalem Dominates Luis Castillo to Retain World Title; Ancajas Stops Ponpitak in 5 (Photos)

MANILA, Philippines — Filipino WBC Minimumweight World Champion Melvin “Gringo” Jerusalem (23-3-12 KOs), made a successful title defense by dropping, out-gunning and decisioning brave Mexican challenger Luis “Flechita” Castillo (21-1, 13 KOs) Sunday, September 22, in Manila, Philippines, live on ESPN KnockOut.
At the end of the twelve-rounds, official scores were wide and unanimous in favor of the pogi Pinoy world champion from Bukidnon.

Earlier in the show, popular Davaoeño former world champion Jerwin “Pretty Boy” Ancajas (35-4-2, 23 KOs), successfully came back into the winning column by dropping and defeating Thai journeyman Sukpraserd Ponpitak (30-20, 20 KOs), via DQ in 5 rounds.
The entertaining wins were promoted by Filipino boxing king Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao's Blow by Blow. 💥💥
