Ozamis City---Grandmaster Rogelio "Joey" Antonio Jr. will try to live up to his reputation as the country’s chess ironman as he spearheads the 2nd Gov. Henry S. Oaminal Open Chess Tournament slated on July 9 to 10 at the AYA Hotel and Residences in Clarin, Misamis Occidental here.

GM Antonio is the country's top bet in the FIDE World Senior Chess Championships 2024 to be held in Porto Santo Island, Portugal, from November 16 to 29 where he will be aiming for the crown in the 9-round FIDE rapid tournament.
