Australia took an early 2-0 lead in the first inning, but the RP Blu Boys responded with three runs in the third inning to take the lead. Australia regained the lead with three runs in the fifth inning, and despite a valiant effort from the Philippines, which included scoring another run in the sixth inning, the Australian defense held firm to secure the victory.
