Amar wins Zugzwangers open blitz chessfest

DAVAO CITY – Denzel John Amar carded 5.5 points to win the Zugzwangers Open Blitz tournament held May 11 at the NCCC Mall VP in Bajada.
Amar crushed Marlowe Cagulada in the 6th and final round.
Second was FM Christian Gian Karlo Arca of Panabo City, bested Paolo Prado with identical 5.0 points each.
Fourth was AIM Alfred Moulic with 4.5 points followed by AGM Andelson Berondo with 4.0 points.
In 6th to 13th place are Kobi Bryant Segura, Reynaldo Quinonez, Perkins Bayron, Ciriano Magalso, Marlowe Cagulada, Marlowe Cagulada, Phares Quinonez, Lito Laput and Billy Nudas.
The event was sponsored by Zugzwangers Sports Events and organized by Lotlot M.
Tournament director is Jeffrey de Castro while NA Cecilio Acas is the arbiter.
