Faeldonia Siblings rules Odiongan chessfest

Jerick Concepcion Faeldonia and NM Jasper Faeldonia both scored 6.5 points to tie for the championship crown of the latest Odiongan 177th founding Anniversary Mayor's cup chess tournament which was held at the Legislative Building, Odiongan, Romblon over the weekend.
Jerick and Jasper were undefeated in 7 rounds of the tournament participated by different players from the province of Romblon. They both garnered 6.5 points with 6 wins, 1 draw and zero losses. After the tie break Jerick captured the crown through the buchholz tie break.
"Thanks to Odiongan Mayor Trina Firmalo Fabic , Vice Mayor Diven Fos Dimaala and Odiongan LGU for sponsoring the event. Thanks to Kagawad Roy Fradejas Fetalvero, Alexis Visca, Atty. Bantang for organizing the event," said Espana Chess Club president and proud father engr. Ernie Fetisan Faeldonia.
Rounding up to the top ten (10) are 3rd Nephtali Bantang - 5.5 pts, 4th Danny Fadriquela - 5.5 pts, 5th Emmanuel Reyes Jr. - 5 pts, 6th Andrew Gonzales - 5 pts, 7th Jerry Jher Jr. Morada - 5 pts, 8th Vance Thristian Fetil Fajarit - 5 pts, 9th Jay-ar Maquirang - 5 pts and 10th Gerald Gas - 5 pts.
Jerick's no-lose streak was extended to 21 after being undefeated in the 1000 GM U14 Rapid Chess Tournament , undefeated again in the NM Gerald Ferriol GMG U18 Rapid Chess Tournament and still undefeated in the latest Odiongan Open Chess Tourney. -Marlon Bernardino-
