DUKC VI amateur bouts on March 17

DAVAO CITY – Twenty-eight pairs will see action in the Davao Ultimate Knockout Challenge VI amateur bouts set on March 17 at the Elorde Davao Gym in Matina.
“There will be four pairs of coaches, who will also see action on the ring,” said organizer Alfie Angelo Jonsay.
Three of the coaches will be coming from Elorde Davao Gym – VJ Sarmogenes, Reymark Antaran, and Jhay Ferolino.
Sarmogenes will fight Jojet Baliente of Batang Pantukan Boxing Team from Pantukan in the 60 kilogram.
Antaran, on the other hand, will trade punches with Noel Rosales of Davao de Oro Muay Thai and Fitness in the 52-kilograms.
Ferolino will face Russel Calasang also from Muay Thai for the 51-kilograms.
“I’m hoping that this event will show everyone that boxing is a gentleman's sport,” said Jonsay.
The other special fight pits Marlon Bernabe of Blackhawk Boxing Gym from Davao against John Kevin Fajardo of Strive Fitness Gym-Davao.
"They will "fight" only on top of the ring. After the fight, they both have a greater respect for each other," added Jonsay.
