RMC wins Champions League 2

DAVAO CITY – The Rizal Memorial College Bulldogs defeated Intangible Football Club, 4-2 to win the Men’s Open in the Champions League 2 last Saturday, March 9 at the Tionko Agro Football Field in Ecoland.
The Bulldogs mentored by coach Jose Mari Cabalfin shaded Davao Agway Elite Under 19, 2-1 while Intangible downed Agway Davao U19 in the semifinals.
It was a hotly-contested game between RMC and Intangible in the championship.
During the penalty, the Bulldogs relied on the first shot made by Jhonloyd Nepomuceno, 1-0.
But striker Michael Neri of Intangible tied it 1-1.
Then Bulldog Ryan Christian Hermida made it 2-1 while Jerwin Jumag missed it. Eric Loteria added another one for RMC, 3-1.
Jansen Colis missed another attempt for Intangible then Resty dela Cruz scored another goal for RMC, 4-1.
Jay Solidaag finally made it for Intangible, 4-2.
But Ronald Penales of RMC and Nivard Magsanay both did not make it in the final attempt.
RMC won the title after settling only a runner-up finish last year to Sinag FC.
Intangibkes coached by Jayric Iligan was first runner-up.
Davao Agway Elite U19 under Coach Arman Valencia was second runner-up followed by Davao Agway U19 mentored by Coach Imardino Polo.
Overall organizer and founder of the 9s Football Champions League Austin Emeson awarded the trophies.
He was assisted by veteran player Weng Sasuman. Match com is Julio Orcasitas while the tournament manager is Jessie Gravino.
