Garde to fight Ewican on March 7

ORTHODOX Richard Garde of Alas Boxing Stable will face southpaw Ronald Ewican of Ozamis City on March 7 at the Calinan Gym in Calinan, Davao City.
It will be a supporting bout in the “Calinan Showdown” boxing presentation.
The 27-year-old Garde has recently lost to DianXing Zhu of China by a unanimous decision last January 13, 2024 for the WBO Global minimumweight title at the Paradise City in Incheon, South Korea.
But Garde (8-2-0, 7KOs) has won all of his four fights last year including against Roslan Eco by a 5th round knockout to win the vacant Philippine Boxing Federation minimumweight title last October 22 in President Roxas.
Ewican, on the other hand, has won five fights with two knockouts but has nine loses.
He suffered a 1st round knockdown to Sherwin Dacullo last December 16, 2023 in Naga City.
Meanwhile, Garde’s stablemate Renald Lomosbog will fight Herson Remoroza of Amoy Boxing Stable-Gensan in the undercard.
The boxing event is promoted by Firmo Aligato of Ring Master and the Top 5 Boxing.
