Bantay seeks 2nd win on Dec. 10

BACOOR, Cavite -- Undefeated Junebirt Bantay of Libuna, Bukidnon will aim for his second win when he fights Jimboy Navidad of Mandaluyong City on December 10 at the Unlad Gym in San Rafael 2, Noveleta, Cavite.
The 23-year-old Bantay scored a technical knockout victory in the 3rd round against veteran Julius Bala of Cagayan de Oro last October 9, 2023 in Rizal, Laguna.
Bantay, a super bantamweight fighter, is a veteran in amateur division.
"I had 200 plus fights as an amateur, mostly in victory," said Bantay.
Navidad (1-1-1), on the other hand, lost to Mark Sabang of Quezon City by a majority decision last November 20, 2022 at Mandaluyong City.
The fights will start at 3 p.m.
"There are a total of six pairs that will see action," said promoter Yolanda "Ate Yolly" Alfante.
Joseph Quiro is the matchmaker.
