BOXING HALL OF FAME TO ANNOUNCE CLASS OF 2024 ON THURSDAY, DECEMBER 7

New inductees to be honored in Canastota during
2024 Hall of Fame Induction Weekend set for June 6-9
CANASTOTA, NY (November 27, 2023) – The International Boxing Hall of Fame will unveil the members of the Class of 2024 on Thursday, December 7th at 8 am (PST) / 11 am (EST).
Inductees will be named in the following categories: Men’s Modern, Old-Timer, Non-Participant, Observer, Women’s Modern and Women’s Trailblazer. Members of the Boxing Writers Association of America and an international panel of boxing historians cast votes. Voters from Japan, England, Canada, Argentina, Australia, The Netherlands, Germany, Mexico and the United States are among those who participated in the election process.
“The Hall of Fame’s annual announcement is an exciting and highly anticipated moment for the boxing community. All eyes turn to Canastota to see who will be among the new honorees," said Executive Director Edward Brophy. "All inductees will receive a permanent place on the Hall of Fame Wall and living inductees will be presented with a gold Hall of Fame Ring at the Official Induction Ceremony.”
“The Hall of Fame will celebrate its 35th anniversary in 2024 and we can’t think of better way to kick off the celebration than by announcing the newest inductees to be honored,” continued Brophy.
The Class of 2024 will be honored during the Hall of Fame Induction Weekend on June 6-9, 2024 in “Boxing’s Hometown.” Schedule of events and ticket application can be found on www.ibhof.com.
Many events will take place in Canastota and nearby Turning Stone Resort Casino throughout the four-day celebration including ringside talks, fist casting, fight night, 5K race / fun run, boxing autograph card show, banquet, parade and induction ceremony.
