MUNGUIA VS. DEREVYANCHENKO FINAL PRESS CONFERENCE QUOTES PhilBoxing.com Fri, 09 Jun 2023  ONTARIO, CA (June 8, 2023) - Mexican superstar and former World Champion Jaime Munguia (41-0, 32 KOs) and Ukrainian world champion contender Sergiy “The Technician” Derevyanchenko (14-4, 10 KOs) hosted their final press conference today at the Toyota Arena in Ontario, CA. The fighters were in attendance to promote their upcoming 12-round super middleweight fight for the WBC Silver Super Middleweight Title on Saturday, June 10 broadcasting live worldwide on DAZN beginning at 5:00 p.m. PT/ 8:00 p.m. ET. Also in attendance, Shane Mosley Jr. (19-4, 10KOs), and D'Mitrius Ballard (21-1-1, 13KOs) expressed their respect for each other regarding their upcoming 10-round fight for the NABO Middleweight Title. The event also featured fighters on the undercard, below is what the fighters and their representatives had to say about the upcoming event on Saturday, June 10 at the Toyota Arena in Ontario, CA. JAIME MUNGUIA, FORMER WORLD CHAMPION AND SUPER MIDDLEWEIGHT TITLE CONTENDER: "This fight is a good fight for us and for the fans. Without a doubt, he is a great rival to measure myself against and know where I am at in the division. "Without a doubt, this is the toughest fight of my career. "This will be a great fight, a great war. I trained really hard for this event, and this fight will be exciting with many punches and Arriba Mexico!" SERGIY DEREVYANCHENKO, WORLD TITLE SUPER MIDDLEWEIGHT CONTENDER: "I took this fight because Munguia is a tough fighter. I wanted this fight; it's a tough fight; I want to fight tough fighters. "I do not worry about Munguia or his team overlooking me. That is a problem for Munguia and his team; that's their problem, not mine. I am focused on the fight, so on Saturday, we will see." ERIC GOMEZ, PRESIDENT OF GOLDEN BOY PROMOTIONS: "There are very few shows that get us excited, and I am happy to say that this is one of those fights that gets us excited, as promoters.
