Team Combat League Returns Tonight with More Nonstop Action

PhilBoxing.com

MOHEGAN SUN, CT (May 18, 2023) – Tonight, Team Combat League (TCL) returns to action with a tripleheader at Mohegan Sun Expo Center in Connecticut. Las Vegas Hustle will battle the Atlanta Attack in the first matchup of the night. A key matchup to watch will be a clash of heavyweights as Michael (The bounty) Hunter (3-0 in TCL action) battles Devon Young (6-1 in TCL action).

Las Vegas Hustle is led by its breakout star, Most Valuable Fighter candidate Sam Arnold. Sam is 5-0 in TCL action with one knockdown, complimenting his 8-0 undefeated pro record. Prior to league action commencing, Sam stopped seasoned pro Breidis Prescott on March 10th with a first round KO. In an unprecedented situation in the boxing community, the Atlanta Attack is coached by head trainer Sam Arnold Sr., Sam’s father.

The middle bout of the evening will be between the Los Angeles TenGoose and the NYC Attitude. These two teams faced off earlier in the season with NYC prevailing by one point 174-173. NYC will have to dig deep on this occasion, however, as several of its stars- Ralph Clemente (5-1 TCl), Peter Dobson (15-0 Pro Record) and lightweight workhorse Sherbek Rakhmatulloyev (8-2 TCL) are out with injuries. Conversely, LA has reloaded with recent additions Alan Garcia, Abram Martinez, and heavyweights Alexander Flores and Frederico Pacheco.

In the nightcap, the Dallas Enforcers, led by head coach AC Bryant, will face off against the DC Destroyers, led by head coach Barry Hunter. The matchup will feature the TCL debut of former Carolina Panther and Dallas Cowboy Greg Hardy. Hardy will see action against both of DC’s dynamic heavyweights, Norm Neely and Donte White. Two featured matchups will be between Dallas breakout stars at welterweight, AJ Graham (4-0 TCL) and Andrew Ewell (3-0 TCL) as they each face off against DC sensation Patrick Harris (20-0 as a pro).

We are overwhelmed by the response generated by the first five weeks of Team Combat League, said Dewey Cooper, President of TCL. “I have spent my entire life engaged in combat sports and there is nothing that compares to TCL action. Our team format of one round fights is catching fire. We are excited to bring the public more nonstop action as we continue the journey towards MegaBrawl 1, history in the making.”
