WEIGHTS FROM LAS VEGAS: TANK - 135.1 LBS., RYAN - 135.5 LBS (Complete Weighin Results and Photos) By Ed de la Vega, DDS PhilBoxing.com Sat, 22 Apr 2023 T-Mobile Arena, Las Vegas, NV -- In what appears to be a prelude to the much-awaited dogfight tomorrow night at the famed T-Mobile Area here at Las Vegas, Gervonta “Tank Davis” and Ryan “King Ry” Garcia lived to the Golden Boy Promotions’ ads as to the fight expected to be the “Biggest Fight of the Year”. At the face off for photo opt after the fighters stepped on the scales (Davis 135.1 lbs) and Garcia (135.5 lbs) Davis immediately started mouthing-off. True enough Garcia responded as expected. This went on for about a couple of minutes with Oscar de la Hoya and Mike Tyson seemingly enjoying what was going on until a shoving match started and everything went bananas from there. Eventually cooler heads prevailed and both fighters settled enough to give a short interview to the ShowTime crew. So goes the weigh-in today at the T-Mobile Plaza before hundreds of divided and sun-drenched fans- some cheering for Davis and others for Garcia. Garcia’s fans sounded louder though. It seems the whole of Victorville, CA came to Vegas. Not surprising given that Garcia has millions of followers on social media and Victorville, only a short 2-3 hour drive to Vegas. Tank Davis on the scales. Ryan Garcia flexes after making weight. Tank and Ryan give a prelude to what will happen tomorrow.
