THE NP Team Bansalan won eight out of 10 matches in “The Battle 3” of the Davao Ultimate Knock-out Challenge Promotion set March 12 at Elorde Gym in Tulip Drive, Matina.
Forty-five kilogram Jared Edison Prevedido, son of retired army Nonoy Prevendido, beat Charly Marzan of J & G Dumaguete in the co-main event.
The other winners from NP Bansalan were Kurt Pabular (49kg.),
Bobby Larano (46kg), Cleon Cuestas (50kg), Cedric Flores (52kg.), Lawrence Lanticse (46kg), Eddie Teric (48kg) and Mauh Viacrusis (54kg).
Nonoy Prevendido is the coach and has been participating his team in the PLDT Tournament, Batang Pinoy and the PSC Pacman Cup in Digos City.
“The government has not helped me ever since,” said Prevendido.
He still has high hopes that Bansalan Mayor Edwin Reyes will help them in the next tournament, which will be on March 16 to 21 in Tulunan, North Cotabato.
The training will resume soon at the NP Boxing Camp at the back of his house.
The boxing event was held in celebration of the 86th Araw ng Dabaw Sports Festival.
It was promoted by Alfie Angelo Jonsay of Davao Ultimate Knock-out Challenge Promotion with Rodel Garde as the matchmaker.
