Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs. Manny Pacquiao is called the "Fight of the Century" or the "Battle for Greatness" and was a megabuck super showdown between undefeated five-division world champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. and eight-division world champion Manny Pacquiao.

The superfight happened on May 2, 2015, at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Paradise, Nevada. The titles at stake were the WBA (Unified), WBC, WBO, and The Ring welterweight titles.

Mayweather was the WBA (Unified), WBC, and The Ring welterweight champion and the WBA (Super), WBC, and The Ring light middleweight champion. He was The Ring No. 1 pound-for-pound fighter. Pacquiao was the WBO welterweight champion and The Ring No. 3 pound-for-pound fighter.

It took 5 years, 50 days when the fight finally took place since March 13, 2010, the day of the original scheduled of the fight before negotiations failed over disagreements on drug-testing issues.

The ages during their fight: Mayweather, 38, and Pacquiao, 36. The age difference between them was 1 year, 9 months, 24 days.

Prior to the fight, the most consecutive fights Mayweather won by KO or TKO is 7, from 1997 to 1998. The number of fights Mayweather fought since the last time he stopped an opponent was 5. That was with a KO of Victor Ortiz in 2011, but the KO was executed when Ortiz had mistakenly dropped his guard after a head-butt. Mayweather’s last “real” KO was 8 fights earlier over Ricky Hatton in 2007.

The most consecutive fights Pacquiao won by KO or TKO was 13, from 1997 to 2001. The number of fights Pacquiao fought since the last time he stopped an opponent was 9. It was a TKO win over Miguel Cotto in 2009.

Before the superfight, Pacquiao’s record when fighting at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas was 7-3-1. His losses were dealt by Juan Manuel Marquez (2012), Timothy Bradley (2012) and Erik Morales (2005). The draw was with Marquez in 2004.

Mayweather’s record at the MGM Grand was 13-0. The superfight was his 11th consecutive fight in the venue, starting from his split decision win over Oscar De La Hoya in 2007. His first fight there was a unanimous decision over Gregorio Vargas in 2000.
