Tinampay also slipped while he was hit by an uppercut again in the same round.

In the 6th round, Sampan again landed an uppercut to down Tinampay.

Tinampay stood up again only to be hit by Sampan for good with 51 seconds remaining.

“I was also hurt by his punches,” said Sampan, who now has eight wins with seven knockouts.

The 28-year-old Tinampay suffered his 17th loss against 13 wins and one draw.

Meanwhile, IBF North American super bantamweight champion Mike “Magic” Plania of Gensan stopped Jeffrey "Tsunami" Francisco of Palawan in just 38 seconds of the 1st round in the co-main event.
