Makiputin confident against Garde

RYAN Makiputin of Valencia City, Bukidnon is confident to win against Richard Garde from Pres Roxas for the main event of “The Battle 2” on November 26 at 3 p.m. at Elorde Davao Gym.

“Since from the start until now, I'm in good condition at 105 pounds,” said the 32-year-old Makiputin.

Makiputin (13-20-2, 4KOs) is on his usual self-training but with the guidance of the Lord God.

He also has a sparring partner with welterweight Romulo “Demon” Ramayan (7-19-5, 3KOs) at the Makiputin Training Camp.

Makiputin is also his companion with his amateur boxers.

“I will do everything in the fight according to the will of God and according to the will of man,” said Makiputin.

Makiputin, however, lost in his comeback fight against former Asia Boxing Federation minimumweight champion Joey Canoy of General Santos City via 4th round technical knockout last August 24, 2022 in Gensan.

Makiputin was stopped by Ruben Dadivas in the 2nd round in his last fight before the pandemic last December 2019 in Gensan.

Makiputin last won against Gerald Alvarez by a unanimously decision last January 28, 2018 in Pigcawayan.
