Philippine National Lightweight champion southpaw Roldan “The Cobra” Aldea has signed a contract to fight Kayne Clarke of Australia on Oct. 29 that will take place at St Kilda Arena in Melbourne. Aldea is expected arrive down under on October 23rd.
Aldea vs Clarke headlines the Peter Maniatis & Kings of Kombat event sponsored by Ultratune Auto Service Centres in Melbourne of Mr Sean Buckley & Hisham Hanna.
Aldea who hails from Kabangkalan in Negros Occidental has a record of 17 wins 8 losses and 1 draw with 10 wins inside the distance. His opponent, Kayne Clarke, is undefeated with a clean 12-0 slate. The fight will be at lightweight 135 lbs scheduled for 8 rounds.
Aldea fights from the Bebot Elorde stable and his team is now formulating a game plan to beat Clarke who is a boxer-counter puncher. Aldea has a impressive KO victory on the road in Russia over undefeated Russian boxer Mikhail Alexeev in 2019.
“The winner of the fight between Clarke and Aldea on October 29 will go on to fight for a big regional title so this fight will promise to be top quality and the winner will get his reward,“ said Australian Hall of Fame promoter Peter Maniatis.
“Clarke is a classy boxer and mover but his fight with Aldea will be the biggest challenge and test to date of his career as Aldea is strong tough boxer,“ added Maniatis.
