QUOTES

Juan Manuel Marquez: “Right now, I am very excited to be bringing ProBox TV to Mexico and promoting this card. Mexico has the best fighters in the world, and we will be searching the country for hot prospects to showcase on our cards.”

Pollo Lopez: “I am really happy to be here, and it is very exciting that (former) world champions will be calling my fight. This is a big step in my career fighting ProBox TV and it’s going to be a great night of fights. I know it’s going to be a tough fight and I am very prepared. I am going to be very smart in my attack and I think my intelligence in the ring will win me the fight on Friday Night.”

Tony Curtis Jr.: “I am very grateful and excited to be fighting here in Cancun. With Roy and ProBox and all the other guys here, it is a great opportunity. I am up and coming and ProBox is up and coming so we are going to be a great team. I don’t really know much about my opponent – Roy just told me to get in there and do is so that’s what I am going to do and that’s be a man. I know he is a bigger than my so I will beat him by using my speed, I guess. Tune in everyone to my pro debut on ProBox at 9 PM! (ET).”

Roy Jones Jr: “Mexico is very good, and I am highly excited for the card. Tony Curtis is sixteen years old and he is turning pro on Friday night! He is from the UK and he had ten amateur fights and he is making his pro debut. He’s got such a pro style already he didn’t need to fight as an amateur anymore – so go forward and here we are.” Roy trains Tony “Lightning Junior” Curtis.

The second Marquez Promotions event will take place November 18 also at Oasis Resort. In 2023, there will be monthly events throughout Mexico (Mexico City, Monterrey, Culiacan, Acapulco, Guadalajara) all streamed live on ProBox TV.

Garry Jonas, ProBox TV CEO: “It’s a lot of fun to be in a place that loves boxing. It is the second most popular sport in Mexico; they are rabid fans and as a promoter and a TV network there is no better place to be when you know the community really loves the sport. That is the thing that is striking me most about the environment here. In the US boxing is maybe the ninth most popular sport, right? We are embracing the Mexican market. Obviously, our app shows here, and we see this as a phenomenal market for us . . .potentially more lucrative than the United States itself. We are excited about being here and they open their arms to ProBox TV and Juan Manuel and Roy and Paulie. It is obviously a good situation.”

Paulie Malignaggi: “Friday’s card looks explosive and it’s great scenery. Where boxing is beloved. This is a great place to hold a fight and Mexican’s are a rabid fan base and they love boxing.”

A ProBox TV monthly subscription is $1.99.

The 2022 remaining live boxing on ProBox TV: October 7 (Tampa), October 26 (San Juan, PR), November 4 (Tampa), November 18 (Cancun), December 2 (Tampa), December 9 (San Juan), December 16 (Philippines).

There is also weekly original content produced by the founders including, podcasts, talk shows and in the gym content, plus monthly documentaries and behind the scenes content.
