Magali returns home after failure to fly
By Lito delos Reyes PhilBoxing.com Fri, 19 Aug 2022

PHILIPPINE super featherweight champion Carlo “The Ferocious” Magali and his team went home after failing again to fly to South Africa Thursday.
Together with trainer Jaypee Alipio and assistant Jomar Fajardo, Magali stayed at the Oyo Hotel in Pasay City near the NAIA Airport since last Sunday.
“Puro lang pangako pero wala naman nangyari,” said Magali, who again was frustrated after no tickets were sent to the team.
They were promised to have travel arrangements under Uppercut Promotions of Cyril Tshepo Lehong.
“Uppercut Promotions will be 100% responsible for air tickets, accommodation, meals and travel insurance for the duration of their journey.”
This is what Lehong earlier promised to the ticket.
The 35-year-old Magali was supposed to take a fight in Polokwane, South Africa on August 21.
Magali was preparing for the fight last month in Benguet.
Magali (25-13-3, 13KOs) will continue to work it out and possibly find another fight.
In his recent fight, Magali beat Al Toyogon by a split decision to win the vacant Asian Boxing Federation and Philippine super featherweight titles last December 21, 2019 at Manila Arena in Manila.
