THIRTY-EIGHT-year-old Dennis “Cannon” Quinonero of the Cenojas MMA in Davao City will face Serg “Nightmare” Jayson of Tagum in the professional mixed martial arts dubbed as the “Resbak” series on March 31 at the Arf Gym in New Pandan, Panabo City.
Although he is considered a veteran already since Quinonero has 17 wins, five loses and one draw, he is still making his debut as professional mixed martial arts.
“I’m ready to fight. I know at this age it is not already an advantage for me, it's a challenge,” said Quinonero.
Quinonero lost his last fight against Jemar Batoto in Bukidnon last May 2019.
“I'm 142 pounds now, just right for tomorrow with 139 little moves, it's ok,” said Quinonero.
He is always training at the Cenojas MMA (formerly Davao Kara5e Club) at Matina Pangi in Davao City and sometimes at the RSK Fitness Gym in Mintal.
Quinonero is sparring with his teammate Nards "Poison" Tancontian and his brother Coach Jenery Quinonero.
The event is presented by RedPalm Events and Promotions under Almar Kelly Odiong and sanctioned by the Games and Amusements Board.
This is in celebration of the Araw ng Panabo. It is sponsored by City Star Shopping Center Inc., Innovaplas Packaging Corporation, Colmax, G-key Trading, Sanman, Beefit Gym and RedPalm Events and Promotions.
