All eyes on Calamba

MANILA---Defending champion Calamba will field a near-intact lineup as they gun for an unprecedented three-peat titles in the Gov. Ramil L. Hernandez Cup 3rd Laguna Inter-Town Chess Team Championships at the Laguna Sports Complex Basketball Gymnasium, Bubukal, Sta. Cruz, Laguna on March 13, 2022.
Bannered by Kimuel Aaron Lorenzo and Spencer Real are looking to defend the title they won in 2018 and 2019.
Joining Lorenzo and Real are Jhoemar Mendiogarin and Vladimir Gonzales.
“We’re hoping to do well again in the 3rd Laguna Inter-Town Chess Team Championships and defend our title with our near-intact line-up,” said Lorenzo.
Organized by Laguna Provincial Sports and Games Development Office in Partnership with Laguna Chess Association headed by its' president Richie Jocson, offers P10,000 to the winning team.
Cabuyao, Los Banos and Sta. Cruz are also expected to take the limelight. Also seeing action are Santa Rosa, San Pablo and Bay.-Marlon Bernardino-
