Happy Birthday Sampson Lewkowicz!

Today celebrates his 71st birthday a dear old friend of Philboxing.com, Mr. Sampson Lewkowicz, a much-appreciated promoter, an angel of boxing who has served the sport for decades.

Born in Uruguay and for years living at boxing's capital, Las Vegas, Sampson has been so well-known for his prolific activity as promoter, staging fight events all over the world, giving opportunities to boxers from the corners of the Planet, opening doors for them.

Sampson's skills to spot and develop boxing talent has amazed so many, being time ago the first one to notice the potential of a totally unknown bantamweight from the Philippines named Manny Pacquiao.

For so so long, this talented angel of boxing Sampson Lewkowicz has promoted an endless list of fighters, being one of them all-time favourite Argentinian Sergio "Maravilla" Martinez, for whom Sampson worked tirelessly to transform into one of the top boxers of his time, who went on to claim world crowns in two weight classes as well as the prestigious BWAA Fighter of the Year Award.

But Fighters from today such as super middleweight David Benavidez are also been handled by Sampson, including young names such as middleweight Amilcar Vidal, welterweight Alberto Palmetta, super bantamwieght Luis Nuñez, undefeated lightweight Michel Rivera, Panamanian Jaime Arboleda and the unbeaten "Towering Inferno" Sebastian Fundora, a promising hard-swinging 154-pounder with so much potential.

This Friday, January 14, the always on the go Sampson will be staging another entertaining show, featuring up-and-coming talent in his "Box & Roll" event in Panama City, Panama.

And so many more nights of boxing are constantly being planned and done by good old Sampson whose old love for the sport of boxing knows no bounds.

Happy Birthday Samson Lewkowicz!
